About Caregiver Coaching
What does Caregiver Coaching look like?
Joint planning: Caregiver and coach collaboratively set goals and identify routines where strategies can be used
Modeling: Coach demonstrates how to use strategies in context through Google Meet or in-home modeling
Practice with feedback: Caregiver tries the strategy while the coach offers supportive feedback through Google Meet or in-home, as well as through written feedback, emails and phone communication
Ongoing implementation: Caregiver utilizes strategies throughout the week during pre-identified daily routines
Reflection: Caregiver reflects on what worked, what felt hard, and what they noticed
Follow-up: Caregiver offers their reflections, coach tweaks strategies and we celebrate progress together

Who is a good fit for Caregiver Coaching?
This service is designed for families who want guidance to support their child’s early communication skills at home.
Caregiver coaching is a good fit if:
Your child is a late talker (delayed expressive language only)
Your child may have autism, but does not have complex medical needs or significant cognitive/developmental impairments
Your child has already been seen by a pediatrician or SLP who ruled out other medical or developmental concerns
You understand that caregivers—not the child—are the primary participants
You’re comfortable practicing strategies during everyday routines with my support
You’re eager to learn and committed to implementing the strategies
Your family may already be on a waitlist for speech or language therapy with an in-network provider
Your child with autism may have been discharged from speech or language therapy, and you’re looking for support to keep the progress going
