Two models of service
Caregiver Coaching
This service model is intended for caregivers of children with autism as well as late talkers. Caregiver coaching will require that a primary doctor has ruled out additional medical or developmental diagnoses. Coaching includes review of previous reports and focuses on teaching parents how to support communication during everyday routines. The parent, not the child, is the primary participant.
Caregiver coaching is not traditional therapy. It does not include diagnosis, formal treatment, or clinical intervention. Instead, it provides guidance, modeling, and feedback to help caregivers create a language-rich environment at home.
This model may be ideal for families who: are on a wait list for direct speech-language therapy, are taking a break from direct therapy, are participating in direct therapy and looking for additional support, or want to learn more about how to support their child’s language development.
Direct Speech-Language Therapy
Best for children who need individualized treatment from a licensed speech-language pathologist. Direct therapy includes evaluation, review of previous reports, development of measurable goals, and skilled intervention targeting expressive/receptive language, speech sounds, executive functioning, social communication, early communication foundations, and more.
Available in-person (Tallahassee area) or statewide via telehealth

At Grow Together Coaching, meaningful progress starts with small, intentional moments.
Grow Together Coaching is founded and fully operated by me, Kristen Wood, a licensed speech-language pathologist based in Tallahassee. As a clinician-led, solo practice, every family works directly with me for scheduling, services, education, and ongoing support.
I created Grow Together Coaching in response to the barriers many families face when seeking speech-language services, including long waitlists and insurance delays. My goal is to provide flexible, high-quality support that helps families access meaningful guidance with fewer obstacles.
I am passionate about caregiver inclusion in the therapy process. Parents know their children best, and services at Grow Together Coaching are designed to actively involve caregivers in decision-making and goal setting at every step.
I offer both caregiver coaching and direct speech-language therapy. Caregiver coaching focuses on empowering families with simple, evidence-based strategies that can be embedded into everyday routines and is designed for caregivers of late talkers and children with autism. Direct therapy provides individualized, clinician-led intervention for children who need more targeted support in the areas of speech, language, and executive functioning.
Services include parent education classes, virtual and in-home sessions, video feedback, and thoughtfully designed resources to support communication and executive functioning development. Services for childcare professionals are currently in development, and inquiries are welcomed.
